Taking part in the PARTNERS Programme will help you develop study skills which will help you to cope with academic study at the University. The work you do on the Assessed Summer School will also help you to feel more confident.
Once you are at the University you will have a personal tutor who will advise you on your academic studies. You will also have access to skills development programmes, work experience opportunities, the Careers Service, student support and counselling services.
The PARTNERS Programme is only available at Newcastle University, but you can apply to courses at up to four other universities or colleges through the normal UCAS procedure. Your application to other universities will not be affected in any way. You can, of course, apply for up to five courses at Newcastle and as long as they are participating in the PARTNERS Programme, you can be eligible for a PARTNERS offer for them all.
There are over 200 degree programmes at Newcastle University and only one is not involved in the PARTNERS Programme for 2013 entry. The course that does not take part is Business Accounting and Finance (NN14). You are still able to apply to this courses, in addition to courses through the PARTNERS Programme, you would just be considered for the typical offer as stated in the online Undergraduate Prospectus.
Staff from The Student Recruitment Team will be visiting your school/college between September 2012 and February 2013 to tell you more about the PARTNERS Programme, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. You can also contact us if you would like any more information, or to discuss your application.
