What are the Subject Strands?

The Academic subject strand that you do at the Summer School will be related to your chosen (CF) degree. As there are over 200 degrees at Newcastle University, each subject strand may include people from a number of related degree programmes. You will be assigned to the most appropriate subject strand at the Pre-Summer School Tutorial, which you will attend prior to the Assessed Summer School.

There are up to 25 different subject strands at the Assessed Summer School each year. Each participating subject has to submit a programme outline, which will give you an idea of what to expect in terms of teaching, personal study and assessment. You will be given a copy of the outline for your subject strand at the Pre-Summer School Tutorial.
