PEALS hosts annual meeting of the UK Disabled Children Research NetworkPEALS hosted the annual meeting of the UK Disabled Children Research Network on 27th June at the Great North Museum, Newcastle. Speakers from Edinburgh, Leeds, Newcastle and Cardiff Universities discussed issues related to disabled children's participation in education and leisure pursuits, alongside the significance of varied representations in literature and medical frameworks.
The presentations led to lively discussions across the day from participants from different academic backgrounds and levels of experiences and from a variety of third sector organisations such as Barnardos and the Council for Disabled Children.
