We are based in the King George VI Building which has recently undergone refurbishment to provide our School with two large teaching laboratories and office space.
To support undergraduate teaching we have a dedicated Teaching Support Office with a team of administrative and technical staff ready to help.
There are eight lecture theatres in the faculty, accommodating between 100 to 450 students. All of our lecture theatres have state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.
The Walton Medical Library is located on the fifth floor of the Faculty of Medical Sciences building. It carries an extensive stock of electronic and hard copy books and journals relating to all the taught modules and the research of the Faculty.
The faculty also has five computer clusters, with between 20 and 90 PCs each, for the use of students. All clusters are open between 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday. One cluster has 24-hour access.
There is also an undergraduate common room and cafeteria on the ground floor of the Medical School.
The University has exceptional computing facilities on campus managed by Information Systems and Services.
You can also access your desktop remotely (from home, for example) using the Remote Access System (RAS). This means that you can see the same files and programmes just as you would sitting at a university machine.
