The E-Business (E-Marketing) MSc is suitable for ambitious people from any academic and professional background who want to develop their career at the exciting intersection of technology, business, entrepreneurship and organisational behaviour, either as consultants, managers or in their own ventures.
More specifically, the E-Business (E-Marketing) MSc is oriented to professionals that want to excel in the areas of marketing, sales and customer service, working for technology start-ups to multinational corporations and including the work at product and service provider levels.
This Master’s programme is also suitable for graduates who would like to continue their studies towards a PhD at Newcastle University.
The programme provides students with this fine-grained knowledge of:
•The business value of contemporary information and communication technologies

• The link between strategic objectives and e-business systems
• End-to-end business processes such as the ones including clients and suppliers
• The management and development of e-business systems
• The understanding of the marketing function in organisations

Some relevant topics developed in the E-Business (E-Marketing) MSc programme are: social media, mobile commerce, big data, behavioural targeting, data mining, campaign management, e-mail marketing, e-sales, call centres, and online self-service.

Normally an upper-second-class Honours degree, or international equivalent, in any discipline. We will also consider applicants with narrowly lower or non-standard qualifications if they have a first degree related to business (eg management, international business, marketing, operations or entrepreneurship) or have relevant work experience in a business or technological role.
Applicants whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-sections), TOEFL 90 (Internet-based with a minimum of: 24 in speaking and writing; 22 in reading; and 21 in listening), Pearson's PTE Academic Test 62 or equivalent.

There is no closing date for this programme. However, international students applying for September 2014 entry should apply by Friday 11 July 2014 to ensure that they have time to put appropriate arrangements in place.
Please note: As a formal condition of the offer to study at Newcastle University, students from outside the UK/EU are required to pay a deposit of £1,500 or submit an official letter of sponsorship for their chosen programme. The deposit payment is non refundable, but will be deducted from tuition fees upon registration.
