Part-time and Flexible Study

If part-time study is available for any of our taught programmes, it will be clearly stated on the course profile page.

The timetable commitments of part time study vary between programmes, for example:

  • modules may be delivered over an intensive one or two week period. Preparatory reading occurs before the module begins and assignments are completed afterwards.
  • you may have a more traditional timetable with lectures and seminars taking place on campus at regular times throughout the term.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses

The University offers a range of courses, many of which award academic credit and may be included in the University's Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS). Additionally, some of our courses carry professional body accreditation.

Distance learning

We offer a small number of programmes on a distance-learning basis. Contact with your tutors and fellow students is mostly via e-mail and the Internet.

International students

Due to visa restrictions, part-time study is not usually available to students from non-EU countries. Please check by contacting the administrator for the programme you are interested in.
