The Crown Estate is delighted to announce nine bursary awards for students commencing on the MSc MTEC programme specialising in marine renewable energy. These partial tuition fee bursaries have a value of £3,600.
Through the marine renewable energy stream of the MSc programme, The Crown Estate aims to facilitate the provision of specialist education for students and young professionals who are employed in (or who ultimately seek employment in) the UK offshore wind industry. The Crown Estate is currently promoting the development of offshore wind farm projects in designated zones around the coast of England, Wales and Scotland.
Successful applicants will be awarded a partial tuition fee bursary of £3,600 in their postgraduate programme and the value of the bursary will be credited to the student’s tuition fee account to reduce the overall cost of tuition fees.
This programme is offered by the Marine Technology Education Consortium (MTEC), a collaboration between six UK universities. It is designed specifically for graduates and their employers in the marine industry and teaches new and advanced technical and managerial skills, in conjunction with business and management applications. Each module is delivered by a combination of distance learning and a one-week intensive school.
Further information on the programme can be found on the MTEC website.
