Newcastle University India Scholarships

    Details:

    The International Office is delighted to announce 8 Newcastle University Indian Scholarship Postgraduate (NUIS-PG) awards. These are available for high achieving Indian students applying for entry onto postgraduate taught degree programmes within the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE) and Medical Sciences (FMS) commencing their studies in September 2013.  Each scholarship will have a value of £2,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees. 

    Eligibility
    In order to apply for one of these scholarships you must satisfy the following conditions:
    • You must be an Indian national and have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes.    
    • You have been made a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a Postgraduate taught degree programme at Newcastle University.
    • You must have an average of 70% or more in Bachelors degree. Those who are offered a conditional place and waiting for final semester/year results can also apply if their ‘so far’ result is an average of 70 % or more and are expecting to maintain/increase this in their final semester/year. 
    • You intend to register to start your studies during the 2013-14 academic year.

    Please complete the application form electronically including a personal statement of no more than 500 words.

    Further Information
    The closing date for receipt of applications is 30 June 2013. 

    Please note that NUIS PG scholarships are not automatic and you need to apply by submitting the above application form. Before applying, you must have been offered a conditional/unconditional place to study at the University.
