Visa and Immigration
If you are a national of the European Economic Area or of Switzerland you do not require a visa or immigration permission to enter and remain in the UK while you are studying.
If you are a national of a non-European Economic Area (non-EEA) country, you will need to apply for entry clearance permission. Since most of our postgraduate programmes are longer than six months’ duration, you will need to apply for a Tier 4 (General) Student visa.
Please note there are revised rules for student Tier 4 visa applications regarding English language ability.
