INTO Newcastle University: Academic and Language Skills for International Students

INTO Newcastle University, our on campus language centre, provides English language training before you study here.

  • Some taught programmes accept students with a slightly lower English language score if they take (and pass) one of the six-week or 10-week pre-sessional English language programmes.
  • The Graduate Diploma in Business and Humanities and the Graduate Diploma in Architecture are full-time academic programmes which prepare you for selected taught postgraduate programmes (MA or MSc) in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. It improves language skills and subject knowledge and develops relevant postgraduate research skills.
  • English for University Study is an intensive English language and study skills course that can prepare you for the Graduate Diploma or for a taught postgraduate programme. Depending on your current language level and proposed study plan, the duration of the course can vary from one term to a full academic year.

Applications for all INTO Newcastle University courses must be made directly to the INTO Admissions Centre.
