Language learning

Taught programme students receive advice and support from their tutors.

Research degree students participate in our research training and development programmes.

Specialised learning services are available to support you through your studies.

Writing Development Centre

All students can use the Writing Development Centre. The Centre runs workshops and lectures on topics such as:

  • writing a literature review,
  • writing a dissertation proposal,
  • revising and proof reading your written work,
  • and using sources in your writing without plagiarism.

You can also use their extensive online resources and make an appointment to see a writing tutor for one-to-one support.

Maths-Aid

The Maths-Aid drop-in centre provides support for students from any discipline who need help with mathematics or statistics. It has leaflets and booklets to take away.
