Adding to Your Degree with ncl+ at Newcastle University
ncl+ brings together opportunities to develop your Newcastle graduate skills; it's about having fun, meeting new people, trying new experiences, improving your CV, taking responsibility and growing in confidence.
Opportunities to develop your skills
A wide range of opportunities are available from across the University and include:
- improving your language skills
- coaching a sports team
- working on a student newspaper
- leading a student society
Each skill offered through ncl+ is part of the Newcastle Graduate Skills Framework. The Framework was developed with employers to define a set of skills which, when added to your degree, will give you the skills you will need in your life beyond university.
Funding for your own project
It is also possible to obtain funding for an activity of your own through the The Alumni Association Student Initiative Fund. Examples of previous projects which have received funding can be found on the ncl+ website.
