The programme has two specialist pathways, leading to different awards:

Heritage Studies: Education and Interpretation
Heritage Studies: Management

Compulsory modules

Both pathways have shared compulsory taught modules:

• ICS8002 Management in Museum, Gallery and Heritage
• ICS8003 Communication and Interpretation in Museum, Gallery and Heritage
• ICS8015 Museum, Gallery and Heritage Placement
• ICS8099 Dissertation

Education and Interpretation Pathway

You undertake the following two specialist modules:

• ICS8035 Heritage: Media and Interpretation
• ICS8036 Heritage: Education and Visitor Engagement

Management Pathway

You undertake the following two specialist modules:

• ICS8024 Heritage Management: Framework and Interpretation
• ICS8025 Heritage Management: Planning and Visitor Engagement
