In addition to the programme description, the information below details the modules you can expect to study as part of this postgraduate degree. Please be aware that programme modules do change and therefore may differ for your year of entry.

Compulsory modules

• EEE8005 Industrial Automation, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
  
• EEE8006 Distributed Control Systems
  
• EEE8022 Microprocessor Systems
  
• EEE8028 Image Processing and Machine Vision
  
• MEC8025 Mechatronics Design
• MEC8026 Robotics
  
• MEC8095 MSc Project: Mechanical and Systems Engineering

All candidates shall also normally take the following compulsory modules:

• MEC3015 Instrumentation and Drive Systems
• MEC8030 Mechanical Power Transmissions (Short course)

Candidates who have studied MEC3015 shall replace the above modules with the following compulsory modules:

• ENG8017 Management of New Product Introduction
• MEC8029 Design of Mechanical Power Transmissions
