Newcastle University is ready for its biggest ever visit day, as around 15,000 students and their parents join staff and students on campus on Saturday, 28 September.

More than 200 current students will lead tours of the campus, accommodation and teaching facilities, showcasing the very best of living and learning at Newcastle University. Students and graduates will also be on hand to share their experiences of life in the city.

The quadrangle will host musical performances from the University’s music students and Newcastle Student Radio will also be broadcasting live from the Students’ Union and online on the day.  Visiors can find out more about the degrees on offer at more than 50 sessions hosted by University staff.

Professor Suzanne Cholerton, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching at Newcastle University said:  “The number of visitors expected on Saturday reflects the ever increasing popularity of Newcastle University as a first-rate option for students looking for an exceptional higher education experience.  I am really looking forward to welcoming prospective students and their parents onto our beautiful campus.

“Newcastle University’s score of 90% satisfaction in the National Student Survey combined with the fact that more than 95% of our students are in work or further training after graduation, demonstrates our commitment to offering our students an excellent education and outstanding employment prospects.”

Free Wi-Fi will be available on campus and the Visit Day website will features maps of the city and campus, along with the location and timing of key activities during the day.
