While the gallery is closed for a major redevelopment, a programme of offsite activity will take place funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England.
As part of this programme, expressions of interest are now being sought to create a new art installation which creatively showcases the Hatton Gallery’s collection, and references its important history in the development of installation art and exhibition design.
The installation will give audiences an opportunity to engage with the gallery’s collection and history, and will tour three outdoor locations in the North East.
The deadline for applications is 5pm Monday 2 May 2016.
Permission has been granted for a major new development which will link up university academic talent with industry and the public sector to help develop skills needed to solve real world problems.
