Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

This three-year programme leads to the award of a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy). It has been approved by the Health Professions Council and is hosted by the School of Psychology, Newcastle University. The contract of employment is with Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust. The programme began in 1964 and is based in a pleasant University campus which is adjacent to Newcastle’s city centre. Newcastle is one of the most vibrant cities in Europe and it enjoys a relatively inexpensive cost of living, also being positioned near to country-side which is renowned for its beauty (e.g., Lake District, Scottish Borders).
