Newcastle University is famous for research and opportunities as part of the Russell Group. This important for Psychology.
Newcastle is also a big city which is what I am used to, so there is always something happening.
Best thing about your course
I am a student representative and I always feel like we're heard and our opinions are taken seriously.
We learn from experts in the field. Our lecturers are researchers and have made important discoveries.
The University encourages us to be sociable by giving us a society. This means we can organise plenty of social events.
The lecturers are influential in the field and they all carry out plenty of research. We get to learn about this and sometimes take part as we're encouraged to get involved.
There are some interesting modules, even if you have never studied Psychology before.
Clubs and societies at Newcastle
I think the range of activities and societies is fantastic. I am part of the Parachuting Society.
It's something I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to take part in outside of University. It has also given me the opportunity to meet a lot of people I wouldn’t have met otherwise.
Living in Newcastle
I live in Jesmond. There were plenty of houses available.
It’s hard to find the right price and size to suit everybody when you live with a few friends. I live in a house of six and love living in Jesmond, so close to cafes, shops and bars.
