QuILT (Quality In Learning and Teaching) offers a range of advice, guidance, projects and services to assure and enhance the quality of learning and teaching, in order to improve the student learning experience at Newcastle.
QuILT is part of Student and Academic Services, reporting to the Academic Registrar. We work closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) and the Deans of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies as well as colleagues in other support services such as the Staff Development Unit, Estates, and Information Systems and Services. We also liaise with a range of external organisations in the fields of educational development and quality assurance.
QuILT staff have a wide range of academic, professional and administrative experience that equips us to support and advise you on aspects of learning and teaching. The details below will help you to identify the team who can help with your enquiry. You are welcome to use any of the information in these pages to improve your students' learning, enhance your teaching, and to ensure the highest quality in your learning and teaching.
QuILT is always looking for examples of good practice in learning and teaching to share with colleagues, for input into consultation processes, and for comments and suggestions for future projects. If you would like to share your experience of learning and teaching or you would like to explore a potential learning and teaching development, we would be very happy to hear from you.
We are constantly working to improve the support we offer for learning and teaching. We would therefore welcome your feedback on our website and on any aspect of our processes and services.
