about us

Commercial Enterprise - Faculty of Science, Agriculture & Engineering (SAgE) Team

The SAgE Enterprise Team is led by Sam Neill and is based in the Devonshire Building.

The remit of this team includes supporting the commercialisation of activity of the Faculty through identifying new opportunities, consultancy, spin-out company development, CPD activities, patenting, licensing; and all activities that help to get the University’s research and expertise into application.

The SAgE Enterprise Team provides support for academics in all areas of enterprise and/or commercial activity. We can assist you in areas such as consultancy and expert witness proposals, proof-of-concept research and development, collaborative partnerships with industry as well as helping you to identify the value in your novel discoveries and commercialising these intellectual property (IP) assets through licensing and spin-out company formation.

The SAgE Enterprise team supports the URO where research applications require detailed intellectual property and commercial strategies.

Based in the Faculty office on the 1st floor of the Devonshire building, we work to provide a 'one-stop shop' for everything enterprise related. Please feel free to contact us or drop by.
