Research Funding Development Managers
Research & Enterprise Services provides four Research Funding Development Managers (RFDMs) across the University. They act to alert academics and researchers to funding opportunities across the UK Research Councils, Government, major charities, the EU's 7th Research and Development Framework Programme (FP7) and others.
They liaise with funders to provide academics and researchers at Newcastle University with the information needed to help them build high quality proposals.
They work with individuals, and schools/institutes within the University to help them to identify, target and develop high quality applications for the most relevant opportunities.
The RFDMs organise funding workshops and speaker visits, often in conjunction with the other universities in the area.
