PhD Studentships

We have £1m available for PhD studentships in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Studentships are available to support outstanding new PhD researchers from around the world. You have to be applying to study one of our full-time PhDs, starting in 2017.

Each studentship includes the UK/EU rate of tuition fee and £14,057 living expenses per year.

Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Partnership

Media Culture, Heritage is a member of the Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Partnership, which offers scholarships for doctoral research to UK and EU applicants.

Northern Ireland and North East Doctoral Training Partnership (NINE DTP)

Media, Culture, Heritage is a member of the Northern Ireland and North East Doctoral Training Programme, which is supported by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), and offers a range of scholarships for doctoral research to UK and EU applicants.
