Rehearsal and Practice Rooms
The Music Studios, opened in 2009, provides the following rehearsal and practice facilities:
- 25 acoustically-treated practice rooms (we currently have 12)
- 5 instrumental teaching rooms
- a large, acoustically-isolated, ensemble/band practice room
- two large performance/rehearsal spaces (each seats up to 50 people)
- The University's King's Hall (seats 400)
- In addition, our 8 large teaching spaces are also available after teaching hours for ensemble rehearsals and sectional practices
Students are able to access our solo rehearsal rooms 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Larger rooms can be booked in advance on our online booking system. Each room contains a piano.
Students also have some access to the rehearsal facilities at the Sage Gateshead.
