Introduction

Zelda joined ICCHS in November 2005 as a Lecturer in Museums Studies, with particular interests in contemporary collecting practices in history museums, cultural diversity and representations of multiculturalism.

Background

Before joining ICCHS, Zelda worked for Tyne and Wear Museums as Senior Keeper of History, and Deputy Curator of Discovery Museum. She was part of the team managing the £13m capital redevelopment of Discovery from 2000-2004, in particular leading on the creation of four new 'permanent' galleries on the social history of the river Tyne. She later took a secondment to the post of Keeper of Contemporary Collecting for a year, to develop TWM's policies and practice in the field.
