Ian Wylie has been a journalist for more than 20 years and is currently a freelance writer and editor for the
Financial Times, Guardian, Monocle, Management Today, easyJet Traveller and other titles. For 16 years he was a staff writer, feature writer and editor at
The Guardian newspaper. He also runs the
JesmondLocal news project with Newcastle University student volunteers.
Born and schooled in Northern Ireland, he has a degree in Economics from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and has previously taught multimedia journalism, design and sub-editing at Newcastle University and online journalism at Sunderland University.
