Laurel is a visiting lecturer in Public Relations and a freelance trainer and lecturer. She develops and runs training courses on all aspects of PR for the CIPR (of which she is a Fellow), and a wide range of both commercial and non commercial organisations including consultancies and their clients. She is a visiting lecturer on the undergraduate PR degree at Sunderland University and Course Leader for the CIPR Diploma course based there. Laurel is also a Fellow of the CAM Foundation, the marketing communications specialism of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and runs the CAM Diploma course both by evening class and by distance learning covering advertising, direct marketing, integrated media, sales promotion and consumer behaviour. She is also vice chair and treasurer of the North East group of the CIPR, and a judge for the annual PRide awards.
