Background

My teaching and research interests in the media include: globalisation, national identity, ethnicity, political regimes and the role of the media. In the area of cultural studies, my interests are: cultural theory, popular culture, the culture and interpretation of the visual. In the field of communication studies, the main areas of interest are the semantics of contemporary communication and textual interpretation.
