Each year, we hold a Induction Week for new undergraduate students. There are a range of activities designed to help you settle in to student life.
Induction Week 2017 will begin on 25 September and end on 29 September

All new first year students are required to produce some art to bring to Newcastle for the First Year Exhibition.

Ordering art materials
You can pre-order art materials from our Fine Art shop. All students receive the first £70 worth of materials free.
Take a look at the Art Materials List (Word: 111KB), and then fill in this Art Materials Order Form (Word: 25KB) and send it back to us. Please collect and pay for all materials by Friday 30 September.

Induction Week 2017 information for Music students.
All new first year students have to complete a pre-course task before they arrive.

You'll submit your work at the end of Welcome Week. It'll be marked by a memember of staff who will provide you with feedback.
Auditions for the Newcastle University Symphony Orchestra will take place during Welcome Week.
You can audition if you play an orchestral instrument to Grade 8 standard.
You must contact our Performance Administrator in advance to book an audition slot.
