Application of biofuels, hydrogen, and other alternative fuel use in power plants.
Investigation into engine thermal overload and methods to reduce combustion emissions.
Development of the ‘more electric’ (free piston) engine concept.
Development of the reciprocating Joule cycle engine concept.
Design and construction of an underwater robot for hull cleaning and integrity monitoring.
System design and control of water hydraulic actuation systems
Power plant healthcare provision and planning using advanced condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and intelligent decision making tools.
Intelligent Operation of roll damping tanks on fishing vessels & offshore support vessels
