The Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering works extensively with external organisations. We utilise our excellence in teaching, research and engagement to help enhance their activities and forge productive partnerships. Our partners include schools, colleges, the local community and business.
We work with many regional schools to enhance the STEM curriculum with our events and activities. These are either on-campus, or delivered in schools. Key activities include:

The faculty works with a number of local community partners via Beacon North East. Our research is embedded in a number of local community initiatives and this continues to grow as we seek to better engage with our community.
The Faculty actively participates in a very wide range of outreach activities, including : licensing of intellectual property, formation of spin-out companies, continuous professional development courses, knowledge transfer partnerships, consultancy, and the provision of scientific and engineering services and facilities.
