Each taught module is delivered by a combination of distance learning material and a one-week intensive school. Pre-school distance learning material is usually made available 6 weeks prior to the intensive school. The intensive school consolidates the information learnt in pre-school study, and on most modules, students will be examined on this material at the end of the week. A post-school assignment is set on some modules, to be completed within one month from the end of the intensive week. The Master of Science in Renewable Energy, Enterprise & Management (REEM) is 180 credits, it can be undertaken in a full time or part time mode and students may transfer between modes by agreement with the Degree Programme Director. The full time programme lasts for one year. The part time programme can begin with any module, with approval from the Degree Programme Director, and may be studied for a maximum of 5 years. Candidates shall take the all of the above taught modules, plus:

SPG8094 Enterprise Project and Report (60 credits) 2012-13
The Postgraduate Diploma in Renewable Energy is 120 credits. It can also be taken full time or part time or as a combination of both. The full time programme of study lasts for one year and can be started throughout the year. The part time programme can also be started throughout the year, with approval from the Degree Programme Director, and may be studied for a maximum period of 5 years. Candidates starting in or after 2012-13 shall take SPG8014 Introduction to Hydro, Wind, Wave & Tidal Energy; SPG8015 Enterprise & Entrepreneurship; SPG8017 Introduction to Bioenergy and Photovoltaics; SPG8024 Quantifying Energy Decision Making, and a further 40 credits from the list of taught modules above. Students also take a project:

SPG8093 Enterprise Project (Diploma) (30 credits) 2012-13
The Postgraduate Certificate programme is 60 credits and can be undertaken in a full time or part time mode or as a combination of both. The full time programme can be started throughout the year and the minimum duration is dependent on the modules chosen. The part time programme can begin at any time, with the approval from the Degree Programme Director, and may be studied for a period of up to 3 years. Candidates starting in or after 2012-13 shall take SPG8014, SPG8015, SPG8017 & SPG8024, and a further 10 credits from the list of taught modules above.
