About me

I graduated from the University of Sheffield many years ago with a BEng Civil & Structural Engineering and worked for Laing Construction and Bullen Consultants on various projects before moving to Singapore to project manage the design and build of New Town Secondary School. Subsequently I joined Ericsson and worked in project management of mobile telecommunication network deployment before joining Siemens Mobile Networks where I was their National Implementation Manager for the first 3G network in the UK and later became Director of Programme Management. My family and I then moved to Dubai where I continued to work in telecommunications before becoming Operations Manager of an IT services company and then worked  briefly as a consultant for a financial services company.

I took up this exciting position with the University at the end of January 2015.
