How did you first hear about the PARTNERS Programme?

I first heard about the PARTNERS Programme when a representative visited my college. They presented a PowerPoint and explained the process and benefits.

If you could give advice or tips to a new PARTNERS student what would it be?

If I could give any advice to a new PARTNERS student it would be to enjoy it and work hard at it. By taking it seriously, the benefits will be felt in September, especially when it comes to referencing essays. Similarly, it's a great experience to learn new things and meet new people, so diving in with all confidence really helps you feel more settled when you start properly.

What support did you receive from the PARTNERS Team during the Assessed Summer School and throughout your time at University?

I was assigned a PARTNERS mentor who helped me with any questions I had and what it was like to be on the PARTNERS Scheme. Similarly, all of the seminar leaders were approachable and some of them taught me in my first semester at University.

Do you have any other comments on the PARTNERS Programme you would like to add?

The PARTNERS Programme is a really good opportunity to get yourself out of your comfort zone before embarking upon the journey of university. It makes the jump less drastic and helps you feel like you're settled before you even arrive.
