Teaching methods will be similar to those used at university, such as:
- lectures (large group teaching)
- seminars (small group teaching)
- laboratory and practical work
- field work
- self-directed study
All University facilities will be available to you during the Summer School, eg University computer clusters and libraries.
There are some differences between the Summer School and university life. The academic sessions may consist of much smaller numbers than in a 'real' university lecture. Also, due to the time constraints of the Summer School, the timetable may be more intensive (in terms of contact hours) than when you start university.
