Commercialisation of Research

NUIS research often leads to new technologies, syetsms and processes. This Intellectual Property (IP) is usually shared between the collaboraing parties involved as per the research contract. However, when NUIS acts alone it develops its own IP which is then offered to inductry partners to exploit.

At present NUIS and Newcastle University in the UK have specialist know-how and IP covering a range of disciplines. In Singapore this is mainly focsued in our specific research areas:

  • Agriculture, Food and Rural Development
  • Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Marine Science and Technology
  • Mechanical and Systems Engienering

We would be happy to investigate collaboration with partners who wish to exploit our IP. If you would like to find out more then please contact the Research and Development team.
