Funding Opportunities

To help students and companies to fund research, the Singapore Government along with industry bodies have made many research grants available. NUIS can participate as Principal Investigator or collaborate with other local tertiary institutions and/or industry partners to obtain research funding. We also cater to organisations and individuals who can self fund.

NUIS participates in grant calls by some of the major funding agencies such as:

  1. National Research Foundation
  2. Singapore Maritime Foundation
  3. Agency for Science, Research & Technology (A*STAR)
  4. National Environment Agency, Environment Technology Research Programme
  5. Ministry of Education, Translational R&D and Innovation Fund (MOTE TIF)
  6. Ministry of Education, Academic Research Fund (MOE AcRF)
  7. Singapore Ministry of Defence, Defence Innovation Research Programme
