Computing Facilities
All students will get a Newcastle University e-mail address and login details allowing remote access to the University’s computing facilities.
Library
As well as having access to the facilities at your host polytechnic library, you will also have access to the electronic resources of Newcastle University’s Robinson Library - mainly electronic databases and over 9,000 electronic journals. You can find out what resources are available from the extensive library website and also take a virtual tour.
Careers Service
Our graduates are in very high demand and we are committed to helping you secure excellent jobs. SIT is setting up a Careers Service and it will be available shortly. Students looking for employment in the UK can also access the international students section of Newcastle University’s Careers Service website.
Student Counselling Services
Managing your academic commitments and your personal life can be challenging. Our offices at both polytechnics should be your first port of call but, if you need a helping hand, or just want to talk, the student counsellors are always ready to offer a listening ear.
The student counselling service at Ngee Ann Polytechnic can be found in the Student Services Office at Block 4. At Nanyang Polytechnic the student counselling service are located in the Student Affairs Office at Block E. SIT is in the process of establishing its own dedicated student counselling service for SIT students. We are committed to providing you with an excellent experience.
