Graduation Ceremonies
A graduation ceremony is usually held in Singapore in either October or November each year.
The date for the 2013 ceremony is:
- Friday 8 November, 2013, to be held at Nanyang Polytechnic
Programme for the Day
08:30 Gowns and ticket desk open
09:00 Photography studios open
Cohort photographs:
09:15 School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development
09:25 School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials
09:35 School of Marine Science and Technology
09:45 School of Mechanical and Systems Engineering
10:00 All Graduates report to marshals and check into the hall
10:30 Guests to be seated
11:00 Ceremony begins
- Academic Procession enters hall led by the Bedel bearing the University Mace
- The Presiding Officer declares the Congregation open and welcomes guests and graduates
- Candidates are presented to receive their awards
- The Student Orator will address the audience on behalf of the graduating cohort
- The Presiding Officer declares the Congregation dissolved and the academic procession leaves the hall

13:00 – 14:00 Reception for all graduates and guests in the foyer
