NORTH EAST GERMAN CHALLENGE

School of Modern Languages

2.00pm  Welcome at the University
             
Old Library Building, Courtyard Lounge

2.30pm  Year 11 students: Creative Challenge

              Year 12/13 students: Quiz on German Words

4.00pm Presentation of Prizes in the Great North Museum

Year 11 students will be taken to the challenges by the DAAD-Lektorin Ms Ellen Taraba and student ambassadors; Year 12/13 students will be presented in a lecture room with an introduction and a test by Dr Carol Fehringer. Teachers participate in the presentation and then meet the staff from the German department over tea and coffee in the Old Library Building.

All participants will receive a certificate from Newcastle University.

The winners will get prizes and internships with the School of Modern Languages.
