With the support of the Institute Ramon Llull, I have been teaching Catalan at Newcastle University and Durham University since the academic year 2007-2008. Rosaleen Howard from the School of Modern Languages and Peter Sercombe from the Scool of Education, Communication and Language Sciences at Newcastle are the supervisors of an ongoing PhD thesis on language revitalisation in Yucatan, Mexico.
