Dr Jimenez holds a first degree in Modern Foreign Languages, an MEd (Management and TESOL) and a Ph D in Staff Development. She has taught in the Spanish Department since 1996 to Undergraduate students at all levels (e.g. Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 4).

Roles and Responsibilities

-Teaching Spanish to Levels A, B and D

-Responsible for oversight and development of the speaking and listening curriculum at Level B

-Co-responsiblility for setting speaking and listening assessments at Level B

-Responsibility for coordinating and marking of speaking and listening assessments and the return of marks for those at Level B.

-Writing references and corresponding with Year Abroad Students

-Correcting intercalary projects for Year Abroad Students

- Mentoring Foreign Language Assistants/Teacher Assistants when/if necessary

- Tutoring students of Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4

Dr Jimenez teaches

Business Spanish at Level A (SPA1001),

General Spanish at Level B (SPA1071) and

Advanced Writing at Level D (SPA4061).

She is tutor of Students of Stages 1,2,3,& 4.

Administrative duties include an appropriate share of language assessment duties (invigilation, processing,marking exams, tests, etc), as well as Open Access Centre language consultancy.
