Background

After completing an MA in American Literature and Translation at the Sorbonne University in Paris, I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2004 with a PhD on 'Marguerite Duras ou l'écriture du devenir'.

Research Interests

Twentieth-century Literature, particularly Marguerite Duras and the Nouveau Roman; Manuscript studies; Francophone Literature, with a particular interest in Lebanese Francophone Literature

Current Work

I am currently working on a project looking at Representations of the Civil War in Francophone Lebanese writings.

Future Research

Future research will investigate the question of transnational models of identity in relation to Lebanese writings, and the impact of diaspora experiences upon literary practices.
