Translating and Interpreting Student Profiles (Chinese strand)

Our two-year Translating and Interpreting (T&I) MA Programme currently (2010-11) enrolls over 100 students from China, France, Taiwan, and the UK. Since its establishment in 1997, our graduates have taken up careers in Asia and other parts of the world as staff translators for government agencies, industries, translation and software localisation companies, as translating and interpreting lecturers at university level, and as freelance translators and interpreters, etc.

A number of graduates also have chosen to stay in Newcastle and pursue a PhD degree after graduating from the T&I programme.
