This degree programme is run by the School together with staff
specializing in accounting and finance. At each Stage you spend
two thirds of your time studying two modern languages (at least
one of French, German or Spanish at post-A level or equivalent),
and one third of your time studying accounting.
The practical language modules and the methods of teaching and assessment in this programme are the same as for the other degrees taught in the School. Students may also select options from the full range of non-language modules.
In Stage 1 accounting modules look at general aspects of accounting, information technology and business finance, while at Stages 2 and 4 of the programme topics covered include corporate finance, personal finance and investment, international accounting and taxation in accounting. Like all programmes in the School of Modern Languages, you will spend Stage 3 abroad in a country or countries where they speak the language(s) appropriate to your degree study.
