NISR launches its Priorities 2017-18 document: Thriving in Turbulent Times

At the Social Renewal Showcase in 2017, NISR launched its Priorities 2016-17 document, celebrating 5 years of Social Renewal and looking ahead to future priorities.

The Institute for Social Renewal is committed to crossing boundaries, and cross-fertilising ideas.

These principles when applied to world-class research, allow for projects that really make a difference, through interactions with those outside academia, a commitment to interdisciplinary working, and with international scope.

Social Renewal's NISR Priorities 2017-18: Thriving in Turbulent Times document (available for download and in hard copy) details how the Institute will pursue these priorities in the next two years.

There are three particular cross-thematic foci:

  1. New Pathways to Social Renewal: alternatives to neoliberalism
  2. Thriving Through and After Brexit
  3. Social Renewal in the North East

The document goes through the key messages from the first five years of Social Renewal, as well as NISR's Strategic Objectives, Cross-thematic priorities, and NISR's Theory of Change.
