Intra Mural Basketball
The IM Basketball league runs on a Sunday afternoon from 12pm – 2pm. All fixtures are played indoor at the University Sports Centre. 8 teams participate in this social but competitive league which is run in partnership with the University basketball club. Fixtures are 30 minutes in duration (2 x 15 minute halves - 5 min half-time) and teams play each other once in a league format.
After the league fixtures the top four teams qualify for the knock-outs. Each team is allowed a maximum of 3 (in the squad or on the court) players who regularly represent the University in BUCS competitions on the pitch at any one time. All matches are assigned qualified umpires from the University basketball club.
At the end of the season the winning team are presented with a crystal trophy and winners medals as well as establishing their place in Intra Mural history. Registration for the league takes place from September onwards.
