Close House Outdoor Pitches
A large number of our Intra Mural 11-a-side football and rugby union fixtures are played at Close House. The Sports Centre has access to 11 pitches (7 football, 4 rugby) for their Wednesday and Saturday afternoon sports programmes. Close House which was recently sold by the University is a large county estate in Heddon-on-the-Wall.
The Sports Centre provides transport for all Intra Mural players playing at Close House on a Wednesday and Saturday afternoon. The coach departs from the Union Society at 1.15pm and returns from Close House at 4.15pm. Tickets must be purchased from Sports Reception before boarding the coach.
