Run the Great North Run and benefit North East children

Anyone interested in taking on the challenge of the Great North Run can gain a place through The Children’s Foundation and do something for a great cause, helping keep North East children happy, healthy and safe.

The Children’s Foundation -based in the Royal Victoria Infirmary- raises money to fund research into curing sick children and preventing illness, as well as campaigning for the latest technology in hospitals to make the time spent in hospital as comfortable and stress-free as possible for children and their families.

The Great North Run is due to take place on Sunday 16th September 2012, and The Children’s Foundation are charging an entry fee of £55 and asking for a minimum sponsorship of £200. If anyone would like to sign up for a place they should contact Nicola.rose2@nuth.nhs.uk (0191-282-0897) or follow this link to fill out the relevant forms: http://www.thechildrensfoundation.co.uk/2012/01/13/great-north-run-2012/.
