Fresh from celebrating Newcastle United's 6 - 0 win over Aston Villa at

this week when FIFA officials visit the North East as part of England's
bid to host the 2018 World Cup.

Earlier this year, as part of England's bid to host the 2018 tournament,
Newcastle was selected as a candidate host city. If the bid is
successful, matches will be played at St James's Park, home of Newcastle
United.
Destination marketing agency, NewcastleGateshead, is asking everyone in
the region to give the FIFA officials a warm welcome, and show them how
passionate the North East is when it comes to football.
