On Saturday 15 September the Sports Centre hosted the inaugural "Great North Run Sleepover", involving over 150 GNR participants spending the night camped out in the Sports Hall.

David wins Snakes and Ladders Challenge
The 2012 Snakes and Ladders Challenge has been won by David Cole. David was presented with a DFDS 2 night city break to Amsterdam by DFDS Sales Manager Colin Fawcus.
